Grounding Isn’t Just For Kids

In the spiritual community grounding is often seen as one of the chores of spiritual work. Like taking out the trash, washing the dishes, making the bed, grounding is necessary work. Life isn’t as good without it and things become a mess if it’s ignored for any length of time, but grounding is not seen as enjoyable for its own sake. It’s something you do because you have to and you make the best of it and move on. Not all people feel this way and it’s sometimes a sticking point. I have met people…

Your Home Isn’t Your Only Castle

In my work with advanced students I have the opportunity to explore aspects of the Akashics beyond the Library and the Temple of Life. As with all communication the information, meaning, and wisdom flows back and forth between both parties. Most students who work with their soul books look at this communication as one way, they being the receiver of information available to them which can enlighten their lives and path. Advanced students explore the other side of the conversation, actively participating with their soul book to make changes, make choices, and explore what…

The Memories We Leave Behind — Is this house haunted?

I’m not as drawn to haunted houses or ghost sightings as some are. I have a friend who is just fascinated by all things ghost and so I get to enjoy vicariously to my heart’s content as she shares this, that, and the other new find or sighting. I am, however, intrigued by old houses. …

When they are just as awful on the other side as they were here

A weird dichotomy of opinion exists in spiritual circles concerning our deceased loved ones once they have crossed over. One group thinks of them as loving, hovering angels who look after us and wait for any chance they can get to impart messages to us. The other group sees them as instantly enlightened, awakened Buddhas or archangels who are omniscient and omnipotent and can be called on to provide anything we need like our own personal faery god mothers. I over exaggerate a bit. …

We are the center of our universe.

For millennia religions and spiritualities have focused on making us realize there is more to the universe than just ourselves. They have taught about the Akashics, about sacred geometries, meditation and ceremony, about mystical experience and what lies beyond in an attempt to get us to remember who we truly are and why we have come here. They urge us to look up from our daily round, to reach out for what is beyond us, to seek wisdom in revealed mysteries of the cosmos and to look farther for the truth than what…

Do You Know Who You Constantly Ignore?

When people talk to me about the interconnectedness of all things there are three main categories of beings which I’ve become aware they will be referring to: human beings, animals, and beings “on the other side” or “over there”. Each is a spiritual dimension all its own and people tend towards one to the exclusion of the others. There are people who are all about animals domestic and wild, about healing animals, communicating with animals, protecting animals, rescuing animals, learning from them, and seeking the medicine way of interacting with them as spiritual…

In my classes (Akashics Level 1, Find Your Calling) students are introduced to animal guides who, like the White Rabbit for Alice, accompany them throughout their meditations. They are the first beings students meet when entering the Akashics and the last they see when they exit. They provide support throughout the process and monitor to make sure all goes well. In my class Find Your Calling students are also introduced to their primary totem, meeting their totem teacher and others who work with that particular totem and then invited to study with them intensively in week seven.

One thing I…

A soul book can seem like a mystical portal to experience and information when read for the first time. Somewhat like a magician’s book from faery tales the pages become windows into past lives, produce 3D images which can be entered into, or open to unfold the reader in an event of import. However, with familiarity and practice the various sections of a soul book can be discerned and worked with individually.

Section 1 is a historical record of each embodied life the soul has experienced, more commonly referred to as the Past Life section. While this isn’t the most…

I remember being confused about the soul as I was growing up because people would talk about it and writers would write as if the soul was something to be guessed at. The soul as subject was something to be believed in but never proven, couldn’t be quantified, was, at times, one particular atom located in one particular place in the body, was something separate from actual living, or was a shadow because it was attached but could only be seen or even be present in certain situations. …

Why All the Symbolic Nonsense?

I don’t know how many times I myself have gotten frustrated with spiritual messengers and their messages couched in vague imagery, hints and symbols which could mean anything when what I want is a simple “yes” or “no” answer. And I’m not alone. It’s the same for my family and for our peers and the bigger spiritual community. So many times we’re looking for a very important answer and what we get is a picture or directions to a place which doesn’t seem relevant or we’re given something that leads us to say “Now what?”…
